Coming soon to a gin joint near you if you live in Pattaya, Thailand, is this man Andrew Nash. He has reportedly debunked from Dubai leaving arrest warrants and a lot of unhappy people and may be re-inventing himself in, well, South East Asia’s fraud hub. Pattaya.
Nash had been selling land in Africa and Carbon Credits as a financial advisor working out of Dubai. Former staff apparently worked from ‘scripts’.
Those are the things boiler room boys read from when trying to sell you Carbon credits. Pattaya is of course swarming with ‘boiler room boys’.
In Britain over 1,000 people have been taken down to the tune of £24 million – many of the people were elderly – who fell for the Carbon Credit spiel.
Nash has alarming connections to Capital Alternatives which was taken to court in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority. so the Thai Security Exchange Commission should be notified – just in case he does not go for that work permit. Nash claims he helped the FCA though.
This from the BBC:
‘The Consumer Minister, Jo Swinson, said: “This is a particularly disgraceful scam as it not only preyed on older people trying to maximise their savings, but also targeted their sincere desire to make ethical investments. Instead, investors have been left out of pocket with shares that are either worthless or do not exist.”
‘Scams can take place on the doorstep, by phone, on the internet or through the post and the sad fact is that if something sounds too good to be true then it probably is’
Caroline Abrahams , Age UK
One 90-year-old-man told the BBC how he had been pressurised two years ago to spend £60,000 of his retirement savings on carbon credits – which can be virtually worthless and are a mystery to most people, according to the BBC’s personal finance correspondent Simon Gompertz.’
Nash ran companies such as Sterling and Bond and Sloanes, but he’s no Sloan.
It seems the heat was on. Investor clients want to know if he is coming back as his company bank account appears to be drained and company appears to be closed so they have asked me to check.
Could he be doing like a lot of IFA’s do – following Jordan Belforts’s ‘Cockroach Theory’.
“It was the generally accepted way for brokerage firms under regulatory heat to stay one step ahead — essentially, closing down and reopening under a different name, thereby starting the process of making money and fighting the regulators all over again.
It was like stepping on a cockroach and squashing it, only to find ten new ones scurrying in all directions.”
In the west and in UK in particular street robberies are down. Nobody carries much cash anymore. It seems to be all happening on the net. Come on in Andrew check in.
Another website has been following the antics of Mr. Nash.
Sources in Dubai say his locally employed staff members were left without their salaries. Seems they were taken by surprise.
I suppose very soon 3 vacancies will be open in the little league of criminals in Pattaya and the place does have a reputation to maintained as a scum bags haven and hide out….so why not……get the mayor to give him an official invitation….there could even be a presentation of flowers by Pattayas newest resident vermin.
"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed — and hence clamorous to be led to safety — by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." And, "The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false face for the urge to rule it." – H.L. Mencken
Global warming. Perhaps the biggest of all scams tried recently. If you can actually read the work of the likes of David Suzuki or Paul Ehrlich in his book the 'Population Bomb' it is one long continuous work of fear-mongering and failed predictions. It warned of the mass starvation of humans in the 1970s and 1980s due to overpopulation, as well as other major societal upheavals, and advocated immediate action to limit population growth.
I'll post a few of the quotes from these people to show it is just fear mongering and the same model these financial scammers use to dupe and swindle. Peddle fear then offer yourself and your services as the hope. Just hope selling.
Behind all of these things is always the same type of person looking for a quick buck at the expense of the hard worker or elderly pensioner looking to maximize their savings. People wanting to do the right thing who place their trust in people who are only out for power, prestige and of course money.
Quote by Paul Watson, a founder of Greenpeace: "It doesn't matter what is true, it only matters what people believe is true."
Quote by Paul Ehrlich, professor, Stanford University: “Giving society cheap, abundant energy would be the equivalent of giving an idiot child a machine gun.
Quote by Paul Ehrlich, professor, Stanford University: "A cancer is an uncontrolled multiplication of cells; the population explosion is an uncontrolled multiplication of people. We must shift our efforts from the treatment of the symptoms to the cutting out of the cancer."
Quote by Paul Ehrlich, professor, Stanford University: "The addition of a temporary sterilant to staple food, or to the water supply. With limited distribution of antidote chemicals, perhaps by lottery".
Quote by Jim Sibbison, environmental journalist, former public relations official for the Environmental Protection Agency: "We routinely wrote scare stories…Our press reports were more or less true…We were out to whip the public into a frenzy about the environment."
Quote by David Suzuki, celebrity scientist, alarmist extraordinaire: 1990 quote: "More than any other time in history, the 1990s will be a turning point for human civilization."
Quote by Stephen Schneider, Stanford Univ., environmentalist: "That, of course, entails getting loads of media coverage. So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we might have."
Quote by Sir John Houghton, pompous lead editor of first three IPCC reports: “If we want a good environmental policy in the future we’ll have to have a disaster.”
Quote from Monika Kopacz, atmospheric scientist: "It is no secret that a lot of climate-change research is subject to opinion, that climate models sometimes disagree even on the signs of the future changes (e.g. drier vs. wetter future climate). The problem is, only sensational exaggeration makes the kind of story that will get politicians’ — and readers’ — attention. So, yes, climate scientists might exaggerate, but in today’s world, this is the only way to assure any political action and thus more federal financing to reduce the scientific uncertainty."
Quote by Club of Rome: "In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill….All these dangers are caused by human intervention….and thus the “real enemy, then, is humanity itself….believe humanity requires a common motivation, namely a common adversary in order to realize world government. It does not matter if this common enemy is “a real one or….one invented for the purpose."
Carbon Credits sounds very complicated. I can't imagine drugged up and drunken phone monkeys trying to sell something so esoteric. In fact, where would they find the technical and financial due diligence documents, and so forth?
It just goes to show us once again that so-called normal-looking faces like the one Andrew Nash sports (as inherited from good ole' Mom and Dad) are as black as coal on the flip side, as lies are spewed out his odious cake-hole by default by now, to bring in ever more "suckers.."
Only when we are told that this Nash is just another common dirt bag – do we ascertain with full confidence that the smile of Andrew Nash is as phony as a 3 dollar bill, like Drew Noyes'. Oh, Lest we Forget – Noyes has stopped smiling already. Pity that.
That we cannot read their nefarious minds is the single greatest ally these crooks have – that it takes time to read their nefarious actions is their final trump card.
Until then, time is on their side. It's how white collar crime works, and that's their ace in the hole, when the final trump card fails to deliver.
Then the hour glass runs out, as Karma does it's thing again, like to good ole' Bullard up in Chiang Mai.
Who's Next to Fall Hard?
"Carbon Credits sounds very complicated."
Yes sir, because Obfuscation is the name of their game, as they ply their nefarious trade in the shadows until inevitably exposed.
But they keep on trying to fly under the radar – such is the level of their ignorance of the true power of Karma, which fits seamlessly into all religions, paradigms, delusions, illusions and truths..
Good luck with that.
It seems to me that if I was a criminal, then Pattaya is the place to hangout. So long as there is rampant corruption, then these are the ideal conditions for this type of activity to continue.
Seemingly, the Thai authorities are very loyal to those dishing out the money, and will blatently turn a blind eye to anyone that engages in criminal behaviour, so long as it hasn't caught international attention.
