More strange happenings are occurring around the home of
British scientist Dr. Wyn Ellis who is under an Anti-Corruption Commission
witness protection programme.
Following a bombarbment of death threats he has now been
getting demands for money to reveal the mastermind. Well you have to hand it to
local opportunistic business practices.

towards his front gate. The car came to a stop briefly right in front of the
gate, but no one alighted to ring the bell. After a few minutes, the car did a
U-turn and retraced its steps, crawling past the house, back towards the
guardhouse.
had correctly given Dr Ellis’ house number, and driven directly there.
but the driver actually handed in his real ID card to the guard on the
gate. Yes, this is quite fantastically
unbelieveable. And he turned out to be a senior military officer!
I’d go for the centre disguise and not hand in my ID |

we know his name- doing loitering around my front gate, peering into my garden?
I’d never heard of this person and although I certainly have no business with
him, he obviously had some business with me.

would encourage him to come forward and talk. But in light of recent events,

series of libel cases brought against him by Thailand’s Director of the
National Innovation Agency, Supachai Lorlowhakarn. Supachai had his PhD stripped and was found
guilty of forgery, after copying Dr. Ellis’ work for his own degree.

He added: “Whilst I have no evidence of Supachai’s involvement in the
crude and not very innovative tactics over the past months, whoever is behind
them has only succeeded in strengthening my determination to see Supachai
brought to account in the courts, by the Ombudsman, the Budget Bureau and the
National Anti-Corruption Commission. NIA hasn’t had a functioning full Board
for a year or more, and I expect the Ministry of Science will continue to
protect him at any cost.”
The British Embassy has expressed concerns to the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs over Dr. Ellis’ safety.
"I also know that in the book that it does not state that if you want your identity to remain a secret you do not hand over your passport, business card, or anything that can identify you…but did it need to?"
Not in the UK but in Thailand it should be in the "Book" for obvious reasons…
As Tesco says "every little helps".
Appears to be a scare tactic and the guard appears about a much use a chocolate teacup, saying that the so called "Senior Military Officer" should be questioned as to exactly why he was skulking around at night, maybe he was simply pissed and was lost.
Under certain circumstances here a Farang can obtain a firearms licence, I suggest Dr. Ellis does so, acquires an AK 47 or a similar useful piece of equipment and makes sure his gates are wide open at night.
He has to give the obligatory warning to any intruder / s visiting his house at night as follows…"Welcome, Welcome, Welcome" what follows is simple! .
This is the Thai bad behavior story of the decade and is a subject worthy of international exposure. Makes me wonder if the PR machinery plants the sensationalist Rhianna type stories that will actually lure more tourists.
Thailand: Look Before You Leap would be my advice to any prospective visitor or investor, the playing field is a mud pit of this type of ineptness, corruption and extreme face saving tactics.
Unfortunately this is a battle that may not be winnable . People this connected will do anything to save face and claim some small victory no matter how shallow it is. I remember the case of the Aussie bought into investigate the financial shenanigans at the sugar mill in Nakhon Sawan. He was knocked and nobody but a few scapegoats got jailed for the murder. The real masterminds walked even though there seemed a mountain of evidence against them. Thailand is ruled by a predator class of bandits who will do anything to protect their monopolies and corrupt empires. The list of dead whistle-blowers and agitators is long and people convicted of their murders are few. Feudal China never finished, it just moved to places like Thailand.
